Our Mission
The focal point of our practice is delivering distinguishable execution of real estate transactions and legal counsel within the context of Real Property law.

Our singular focus makes a difference for our clients and distinguishes our firm from others in the marketplace.
The firm was started by Craig in 2004 in what turned out to be a booming real estate market. Over the years, the firm has invested significant sums in its people and systems, the backbone of our practice and our distinguishable execution.
Our investments in our people and systems serve to help us serve our clients. Many other law firms have nice offices, competent lawyers, and good technology, but our mission is our distinction.
Our Practice
Craig Long, LLC’s practice area is narrow. We practice Real Property law. However, within the context of Real Property law, the firm represents clients with broad interests in real estate. Our clients rely on us to represent them in making secured loans against residential and commercial real estate, negotiate restructured loans, foreclose on defaulted loans, dispose of Real Estate Owned (“REO”) inventory, counsel tax lien investors, quiet title to real estate, counsel homeowner’s associations, and handle landlord-tenant matters.
Our People
Craig Long
Craig is the founder and Managing Attorney of Craig Long, LLC. Craig was born and reared in Atlanta, Georgia. Craig is a sixth generation citizen of metro Atlanta. His family has a long history of serving Atlanta with his grandfather serving at a fireman and great-great grandfather serving as a mounted policeman for the city in the nineteenth century.
Craig is licensed in Georgia and Alabama. He is a member State Bar of Georgia and the Alabama State Bar and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Superior Court of Fulton County, Court of Appeals of Georgia, Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Georgia, and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia.
Craig graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Government from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Craig earned his Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, and earned a certificate of completion for completing the Corporate-Securities Law track at George Mason.
Courtney Waters
Courtney is primarily responsible for the firms work prior to closing. Courtney came to the firm from the real estate industry, having sold real estate as a licensed agent for Waters Realty Group, Century 21 Community Realty, and The Norton Agency. Courtney is a graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville, GA and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Gainesville College. Courtney can be reached at 678-679-0680 x104
Josephine Westmaas
As a certified paralegal, Josephine adds value to our practice by assisting in the clearance of title, filing legal documents, and provides litigation support. Josephine is originally from England, hold a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Paralegal Certificate from Emory University. Sherry Cruse
Sherry is primarily responsible for handling all the work associated with post closing. Sherry is a graduate of Catawba College and Georgia Institute of Technology having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction respectively. Lowell Chatham
Lowell is Of Counsel to Craig Long, LLC. Lowell is an experienced litigator. He has represented clients before Magistrate, State, and Superior courts all over Georgia for the past Twenty years.
